Members Application: What is the Purpose of CPA?

Canadian Poetry Association is a not-for-profit association. The main aims of the Canadian Poetry Association are: To promote the reading, writing, publishing and preservation of poetry in Canada through the individual efforts of members; To promote communication among poets, publishers and the general public; To encourage leadership and participation from members and to encourage the formation and development of autonomous local chapters.

Who Belongs to CPA?

Active Regular Membership $30.00 (January 01 - December 31 cheque or money order - paypal). Anyone interested in poetry.

Affiliate Membership $106.00 (yearly – cheque or money order).
Authors, librarians, sales reps and other individuals related to the book selling industry.

Associate Membership $150.00 (yearly- cheque or money order).
Publishers, distributors, wholesalers, manufacturers, and suppliers of sidelines and services to the retail book industry.

Seniors/Fixed Income/Students Membership $20.00 (yearly - cheque or money order - paypal).

*Students Must be enrolled full-time in a recognized educational institution, university or college.

International Memberships (OutReach) are $40 US.

Friends of Canadian Poetry $50+ (yearly - cheque or money order).

In addition, there are honorary and complimentary membership categories. In short, anyone affiliated with the book industry can benefit from becoming a member of CPA. Donations Welcomed!
